As the school year begins digitally, many children will need to be explicitly taught different skills than they are used to using in the brick and mortar classroom. Don’t be afraid to ask that these skills be made in to IEP goals! All areas of need should be addressed in the IEP with a goal, and all of the same rules still apply to IEP goals. They should be measurable, attainable, updated at least yearly, and reported on with every report card.
