In special education advocacy, I hear much more about what school districts are doing poorly than what they are doing well. It’s the nature of the job! But, I remember from my teaching days the amount of effort and care I put in to each of my students’ educational programs, and I know there are still many many teachers who do this on a daily basis. So many teachers, paraprofessionals, and school administrators go above and beyond for their students, especially this year! As a parent, as a professional, and as a member of the San Diego community at large, I thank those hard working people from the bottom of my heart. I hope they, and you, have a wonderful and restful Thanksgiving break! Give a shout out in the comments to someone on your team you are thankful for!
